How long after opting-in?

About how long after opting back in until you start receiving offers again (if you qualify of course)?

i just opt in last night.

Takes something like a week or two. Even then you wont immediately begin getting pre approvals in the mail.

What are the pros and cons of doing this? Should I opt out if I'm preparing to get a mortgage?

Experts in the mortgage forums say to opt out before a mortgage app in order to minimize the chances of a rogue CA seeing ur mortgage search info and trying to "swoop in for the kill" at the last moment. U want no pulls on ur credit when ur shopping for a mortgage or trying to get approved. Opting in allows companies to soft pull ur info - u def dont want that if ur home shopping. . .
