What are the pros and cons of doing this? Should I opt out if I'm preparing to get a mortgage?
Experts in the mortgage forums say to opt out before a mortgage app in order to minimize the chances of a rogue CA seeing ur mortgage search info and trying to "swoop in for the kill" at the last moment. U want no pulls on ur credit when ur shopping for a mortgage or trying to get approved. Opting in allows companies to soft pull ur info - u def dont want that if ur home shopping. . .
