I guess it would depend on the creditor. My mom has not used her Fingerhut account in over 2 years and she just received another cli last week..lol

Fingerhut is the biggest ripoff ever! There things often cost double of other online store (from the few items I checked)
But about the old card. I'd use them (spend a few dollars) and pay it off to get some useage.
