Hi All,
I have a credit card that was opened in 2005. The balance is zero, and I need to know when I can have it removed from my credit report.. I wanted to be sure since policies have changed this year. Any knowledge on this would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
It can report for up to 10 years if it was in good standing.
^ Yep
It will report for 10 years from the point said account ends up being closed!
Sometimes longer if you are lucky...
Am I reading this right? It sounds like you want it to come off...was this a baddie?
If it doesn't have a totally outrageous annual fee why do you want to close it? Keep it open and active and let it continue to help your AAoA and credit length history.
