Hmmm, I opened my Discover IT in Dec 2012 and my first CLI was last month. They gave me a whopping $400 bringing me to a $1,400 CL.
The crazy thing is that I have CL's from $5000 to $22,000 on major CC's, so I'm not sure what their deal is. The option to request a CLI has never been available to me. I just called yesterday and was turned down. The CSR said it looks like they might not give it to you because of your other high limits.
So I just use them from time to time and PIF. I'm not too concerned about it, but I find it strange that they won't give me what I consider a decent CL .
I got my Discover IT card in May of 2013 and it had a starting CL of $2000. I received an auto CLI in November of $200. I received a second auto CLI of $400 earlier this month. This brings my total CL up to $2600. I'm hoping for at least another $400 auto CLI by May of this year, but I don't need it. I've used this card every month since I got it and the usage has been fairly light. I always let a balance report (mainly due to the free FICO score now) and I've always paid in full except for one month early on when I was still under the 0% APR period. Just sharing my experience with them so far.
Thanks all.
We are also taking advantage of a zero percent BT offer, but are keeping utilization under 50%.
Methinks I'll put an auto pay bill on it of some variety, and wait for the third statement to cut which should be mid March.
