How many Capital One cards can one hold? Is the limit 2 per individual?

AFAIK it is 2 max of main cards, unlimted co-branded.

I had 3 but I think it was only because one was a HSBC they bought and sent a cap one card. Its been since closed by me.

You shouldn't NEED more than 1, unless you enjoy having your CR's triple pulled for cards that wont grow with you.

I had 2 accounts when I was approved for Quicksilver. I currently have 4, but 1 of those was HSBC.

+1. I wouldn't get too excited about Cap1 one cards. They don't give nice limits and they pull every CB. Unless you're getting their prime cards, I would strongly avoid applying for their cards.
