How many Inquires a year?

How many cc inquires or new line of credit can you get in a year and it not hurt your credit?

pretty much anytime you have a new inquiry, it will hurt you, even if it's only a couple of points.  idk how many you could get away with without doing noticeable damage.  in 2008 i think i app'd for 4 new cards.

I'm in the process of rebuilding and thought I wanted a new vehicle, so I'm at a total of 13 overall gotten this year.

I want 1 more cc then I'm gonna slack up.

are all of those from your car hunting?  if they are all within a certain period, i think 2 weeks, then they only count as one.  but you might want to let some of those age off your reports, just in case.

Thanks laz..yeah, I went to about 4 diff dealership, looking for the "best deals" 5 of them are from "Santander"..should I dispute them??

you can't dispute them, since they're legit inquiries.  & a lot of those are within a 2 week period, so maybe they will only count as 4 inquiries total?  maybe someone with more knowledge can tell us.

Though they show as multiple, in fact with scoring it only counts as one.
