All cards that were IIB fell off my CRs long ago.   Since my rebuild, I have closed 3 cards:  CreditOne, Merrick, and Victoria's Secret.   Those are the only three to show as "closed" on my CRs.

This post has me thinking. At what point do they cancel your card for non use. I have a SimplyBe card I have placed 3 orders since March but I am not planning on ordering again until some time next year.

At the moment I have one closed card. I am hoping to close one or two more down the road.I would like to drop down to having just 4 cards.

25 closed accounts (20 by consumer & 5 by credit grantor) out of 51 and this is since 1999.

The anecdotal evidence (on that thread and elsewhere) suggests that store cards can last for a very long time without use and without being cancelled by the store -- as long as you actually did use the card originally.  We are talking many years.

I have 3 closed cards, Credit One, and two Capital One cards. They were my rebuilders.

18 closed IIB CC's, and probably 10-15 Closed in good standing

I have two closed cards on my reports.
