Hello all
I have 4 revolving tradelines on my credit report: a BOA card, a GE Retail card, and two cards that I'm an AU on.
How many tradelines should I open before I head off to the garden and patiently watch my scores go up? 2? 3?

Hi hevj,
I I found this link to be extremely helpful when identifying the characteristic of FICO high achiever.
I has a Macys and Amazon Store card for eighteen and eleven months respectively when Discover sent me a TransUnion score of 776, so you have enough righ tnow.

Only 3 to get to 800?
Keep in mind other accounts factor in too: auto loans, mortgages, student loans, personal loans, charge cards, etc.
i have 1 charge card .. 4 revolvers .. 9 years AAoA .. 2 preivous auto loans .. over 800 now
When myFico started doing EX scores, one of the threads about it had a poster that hit the 850 score! She didn't have that many tradelines, no huge abundance or anything crazy. Just a few to give it a good mix is what I recall.

I only have a total of 8 accounts showing on my CR, 4 are open and 4 are closed. Open accounts are, 1 mortgage, 1 LOC, and 1 CC all from US Bank. My only other CC is from AMEX. My oldest account, ( which is closed ), has an age of 21 years. My aaoa is 7+ yrs. I don't apply very often. My last was 2 yrs ago when I got my AMEX. This got me to 842 on EX, which is a perfectly clean report. My EQ and TU show 1 PR which will drop in 11 months.
