Re: How much should I ask for? Bank of America CLI

They really seem to give out credit like candy on Halloween once you have an account with them. I don't see any creditor giving a 25,000 limit since that would be more than half of your income, and most won't go over that in my experience. Anyway, good job on the increase.

Re: How much should I ask for? Bank of America CLI

Congratulations, glad you got a nice increase.

It's too bad more consideration wasn't given based on your average daily account balance *cough, cough, CHASE*  Give it another 6 months and I'm sure BofA will give you another increase.

+1. There was no way they'd give you a 25k CL with an income of only 38k, and especially not when your other reporting TLs are nowhere near that.

Re: How much should I ask for? Bank of America CLI

Darn, asked for a CLI yesterday afternoon and got the "decision in 5-7 business days" response.  Guessing at this point it's going to be a denial.

Since BofA is always a HP CLI these days, I would always call the backdoor number and be on the phone directly to answer questions as to why you want the increase and should get it... then you don't have this waiting game and guessing game...

Called in and spoke with one of the backdoor analysts.  They said they require at least 6 months credit experience before they grand CLIs so had to reject the request.  I guess I shouldn't have trusted the frontline rep that told me otherwise.  Smiley Indifferent
