I ask for a CLI with my Chase Freedom back after having it for the 2 months and was denied.
How often can you ask? Why is there not a love button for them? Does a love button only show up when you are available to get an increase?
Do they ever give instant increases? Or do you always have to ask?
I've had a good history with them so far and ran thousands of $$ using the card and paid it right off. I left a small balance on it once just to see what happens with my credit scores.
I obtained 2 cards in the same night (Chase and Amex) and my 800+ scores took a little bit of a dive and now they have recovered. I've had this card since August. At the same time I ask for an increase with this card, I had also ask for an increase on my Amex, Wally Discover and Cap 1 and was denied for all of them.
2 days ago I ask for an increase on my Cap 1 and my Wally Discover (using the love button) and was instantly approved for a CLI. Is this a good sign that maybe Chase and Amex will give me some more love as well?
Suggestions?
They give auto-increases, but 99.99% of the time each CLI with Chase is a HP. No, I don't think that a CLI on a GE card like Amazon and and Cap 1 will mean it's a good chance you'll be approved for a CLI with Chase only. I only mean it's a number of factors: income, usage, the rest of your credit profile. Your scores are super high, Congrats!
Well darn. I forgot that it's a HP. I might have to wait then since I'm trying to garden at least for the 6 months after receiving the 2 new cards. Gardening in the winter, when it's snowing is HARD stuff.

While this may be a temporary setback, you'll be in better shape come next year after your gardening period is over. Otherwise, why incur all those HPs with no guarantee of a CLI.

Agreed. I don't want to do any HP at this moment. I'll wait until it matures a little and then go on an app spree all at the same time.
Have been a customer of Chase since 2006 and at no time did they ever offer me a CLI button. In fact they informed me they would only accept HP reviews for CLIs. Yeah ...

Good to know. Thanks for the info.
Happy to say....I logged into my account yesterday and seen that my CL had doubled now. I did not ask for it, they just gave it. WOO HOO!!!
I went from $4500 to $9000 now.
Loving this.
Did you start at $10k with Amex and you have not asked for any increase?
you can request a 3x cli or $30k in your case! They will counter if not full amount and it's not a hp!
