What do I have to do to get an upgrade? I've been having (and using) this card for 2 years now. Just got another CLI this weekend to $4150 and still no offer. Does WM usually take this long to upgrade. My Gap Visa upgrade was less than 8 months. I'm sure I could close the card and re apply for the Discover version and get it, but that's besides the point. Any advice on upgrading? Would a call to CS even warrent my time?

Last time I wasted my time calling, they said there was no offer on my account. The only they suggested was to reapply. Of course I'm not going to do that so calling may be a waste of time. I wonder if calling GE's backdoor/account services department might help. Anyone have any experience with this?

If you've had it 2 years, it could be just around the corner for an upgrade. I wondered about mine too and right after I was talking about it here, BOOM, offer, and I wasn't even sure I wanted to take it until after I calculated how it could affect my AAoA
No CLI on it yet though

I've had my card for one year, and am expecting my upgraded card within the next month. When I first applied, I did go for the Discover..so maybe that 'stayed on file' or something. I honestly don't know.

+1 I've heard 1 to 2 years of good payment history. Good Luck!

The upgrade offers usually come around in time for holiday shopping, so I would give it at least until January before taking a hard pull for a reapply.
