When we say try for another CLI every 3 months, 4 months, 6 months ect... are we calculating that based on a calendar month. Like the last CLI was Oct 1st so if the credit card company might do it every 3 months then try again on Jan 1st? Or, is it based on days? Like each month of time is considered 30 days? I usually don't think to much of this but I have one that does it every 6 months. Last one was June 4th so I'm anxious to try again at the 6 month mark.
I each month is considered 30 day. If so, I'm going to have to start counting
You can use this site http://www.convertunits.com/dates/daysfromdate/ and get exact day. It is by days not date on the CLI's..at least in my case, it has been that way.
My preference is to just note the day I got whatever change it was, then based on the estimated wait time, wait that number of months plus at least a week or two.
That makes certain the wait time has passed, and avoids any delays caused by moving too soon.
All of my cards are on a 6 month interval between CLI requests. I set an alert on my phone calendar for 182 days and that has never failed me yet.
I do it after the 6 statement cuts like clockwork. That's an efficient timeframe for them to see activities.
I just saved that website. It makes life a lot easier! Based on the calculations, December 1st made 6 months. Cap1's site confirmed that with a nice increase.
Isn't Cap 1 every 6 months? I tried after 4 months and was denied. I forget the exact wording but it pretty much said it was to soon.
