Recently got this card for mom. We aren't sure how to make the $3,000 spend, there isn't really much that she buys at the moment. Can we just buy $3000 worth of gift cards to meet the spend? Anyone have any suggestions on how to best do this? Reply here or PM me please! Thanks.

Pay bills you already have to pay (electric, gas, water, rent, cable, phone, groceries, etc.); that's what I do.

How about putting all of her bills onto the card. Wouldn't that help? Just make it her primary card if possible.

Buy a $3000 Amex gift card. They are 2.2% off today at BeFrugal
Well, don't buy a $3K one if you are going that route!
If you pay rent I use Radpad. Charges your Rent for a fee but it is easy to meet spend.

Why not?
Also, we don't really have alot of bills. No rent.
The thing about buying $3,000 worth of visa/mc/amex gift cards is that i cant pay the balance off fast, and I really need to because the card has a %22.99 APR and no promotional period. Any thoughts on how to best handle this?

I have about 2 months left to do this. There is no way I can pay $3000 worth of any type of bills in that timeframe.
So far, the best I figured out is to send money via paypal using the credit card as the fund source. There will be a %2.9 fee for the transaction though.
