I was just approved as a NFCU member today and I need to send 5.00 to my membership share account. I will be using a chase checking account to send the money. Does anyone know how to do this online?
Only way I can think of was to register my NFCU account as an external account to Chase. Of course that did take some time to set up, since they have to go through the whole deposit verification process and all.
NFCU will send you a "welcome package" and in there is a envelope to mail back a 5.00 check for the account. They are really good about it, many member gets approved for CC and stuff with out even having the 5.00 in the account yet.
You can register your external checking/savings account on NFCU and transfer it to your NFCU savings. They are not demanding and want it immeadiately.
Congrats on getting in with NFCU!!
Thank you! Are you sure this will work
Yep! Its how I did it for DH and I.
I went to our reg checking account, did bank to bank transfer and set NFCU up.
Total time was close to a week for the 5.00 to show up.
Thanks again for your time
kti72455 & Datx, I will send this off now.
I just called NFCU and asked them to initiate the transfer over the phone.
Send it from Chase to NFCU or add Chase as an external account on NFCU.
I just initiated my transfer from Chase.

I almost did that but I thought there were fees associated with it from Chase. Have you incurred fees?
I never incur any fees with Chase, but I have the Premier Checking. If you're military I recommend upgrading your accounts. It's free and gives multiple benefits you miss out on with free checking.
