How to transform Visa to Visa Signature

So I have a Chase Freedom Visa with a $3K CL. I know I have to have it at least at $5K to qualify, but apart from that are their any other requirements? I have other Visa Signature cards, but once my CL surpasses the $5K limit does it automatically convert or can I just request it? On a similar note I have a CSP World Mastercard, is there a World Elite version of that card? If so how do you get it? Thanks in advance.

I asked for a conversion on my Amazon Card,  they told me I needed to have the card open for 12 months before they could do a conversion...  so I would assume...  5k CL and 12 months of account age are part of the requirement.

They do offer Visa Signature versions of the Freedom, but I believe that account has to be opened for 12 months and, of course, have a $5K line before you can request the change.  Also, I've read that the MasterCard version of the Sapphire is always a World MasterCard and is never issued as a World Elite.

Re: How to transform Visa to Visa Signature

Should I ask for the CLI first then change it to a Visa Signature, or do it all at once? That sucks for the CSP as the World version of the Mastercard is not as great as the Visa Signature.

Re: How to transform Visa to Visa Signature

Unless you need the extra credit earlier, I would just do it all at once.  In fact, I am going to, I plan on asking for a CLI to $5K and a conversion to Signature on my Freedom after my 13th statement cuts.

Hi!

I am writing to find out if my Amazon Credit Card is
eligible to be upgraded to a Amazon Rewards Visa
Signature. If not, what is the criteria used to determine
upgrade eligibility?
I have had the card for 6 months, and the limit is $5,000.
No issues with the account other than a typo while making
a payment.

Thanks,

Webhopper

Re: How to transform Visa to Visa Signature

Would this be considered a full on PC? It seems unlikely as you would keep the same CC #. She seems to not be very helpful as she tells you to apply for another one, but then goes on to say you can't apply for the same card twice. I guess the best thing to do would be to wait 12 months... I may ask for a CLI first then an upgrade to the Visa Signature as I don't want them to be like: "One or the other"

I don't know why this is but some people say their CSP is WEMC despite the fact that it doesn't say WE, so there is some confusion. However Chase only issues three WEMC: United Presidential Plus, Ink and Bold off memory.

I decided to just wait...  My card was opened in Feb, so I just have to wait a few more months.  In the meantime, NFCU upgraded me
