What APR did they give you or did you apply for?
I got 20.99% on the Sallie Mae card. I'm actually calling right now to recon.
will update in a few minutes.
Got a young sounding guy who really sounded disinterested. Had his mind made up 3 seconds into looking into my report.
I guess Barclays is like Chase, you really have to get the right analyst.
No dice. not enough history on my newer higher limit cards. blah...ohh well. this will be my gas card going forward.
Obtaining the Sallie Mae Mastercard is well worth falling out of the garden, at least.
Congrats!! Now pick up that bag of cow dung and get back to fertilizing.
Congrats! Are you also considering applying for the Coastal FCU Big Ticket Card?

Congrats on the new card!!!!!! My hands are itching so bad. I know I will get approved for Amex but applying a for a mortgage in the next 3 months.....I soaked my hands in Ghost Chile hotsauce!!!! It works from stopping me to bite my nails
Congrats. Now to the garden you go.
Sometimes you just need to step back and consider whether you REALLY need the card or just want some "approval gratification".
A few months ago, I went on an approval gratification spree which cost me my ability to get the Chase cards I really would put to use. It also kept me from getting an instant approval on USB Cash+ and a couple others. Every card I aim for now has a purpose and reason. My wallet and sock drawer have found religion.
Always first consider your long term strategy with credit. If you're getting a mortgage within the next year, stay the hell away from this forum.
If your'e building or rebuilding, try to get a "credit-wise/credit-healthy" family member or trusted friend to add you as an AU to grow your report, do not ask for or accept the actual card.
And most importantly, always always always stay away from CreditOne, Matrix, and FPB. Merrick is ok.
For those with 10+ years AAoA, very established relationships with Amex/Chase/NFCU, moderate to high income, and who churn sign up bonuses every 6 months, you are gods. We're not worthy.
