I received an special offer from citi for my old platinum mastercard. It says upto $25 in statement credit through 5% reward. Spending must be done by 6/30. So I guess I have to spend $500.
It says Groceries, Travel, Dining and "Shopping" I'm not sure what "Shopping" categories mean. No further details on the offer.
I already have 5% dining from Freedom. 6% groceries from AX BCP and will not be travelling before 6/30. I wish what this "shopping" category was. I'll call to find out.
Did anyone else get this offer from Citi?
I got the same letter minus it's for
Clothing, home improvement, department stores, home furnishing. by 6/30
AS you can see on FlyerTalk, Citi seems to be sending out lots of these kinds of offers, either cash back, TYP, miles etc, with low caps ($25, 2,500 TYP etc). These vary from 3x to 10x, and cover different types of spending and different Citi cards. Don't know if there is any logic to the categories offered compared to previous spend...
I got a similar offer on my Simplicity for gas, commuter expenses, groceries, resturants and drug stores.
At least you guys have clear categories. I need to find out what this 'shopping' category is.

It might say in the fine print (that's where they defined "commuter expenses" on my offer). If not, give CS a call!
