Re: I got an invitation to apply for the Amex prepaid card

From what I've been reading, its unrelated to their credit products

AMEX: $25,000, CSR: $10,000, Chase Priority Club: $1,500, Freedom: $5000, Freedom Unlimited: $1000, Discover: $21,000, BoA $11,000, WF Cash Wise: $5000

It's nothing more then a glorified reloadable gift card. Amex will give it to anyone as far as I can tell. Has no connection at all to their other products.

A prepaid is a complete waste of time. "Invited to apply for one of our charge cards" !?!? You can go online and apply whenever the heck you want to haha. They still will hard pull your credit, ask for income and assets, etc. Best way to get accepted is to build up your credit with credit
