No other reasons just
too many credit inquiries
That's all it says on all three of my previous letters. I spoke to the best buy credit supervisor specialist. He said I had 5 inquiries upon today's application. And there is no way for them to reconsider it because it is a computer based decision. I think citi bank needs to update there system because they just lost a customer and a sale from that.
The reasons they give you on paper are always generic. Take it with a grain of salt. The real reason would be the Charge off and the late. Im not sure Citi ever pulls Tu except for Cli's. mostly it EQ. you keep saying almost 700. That does not really matter. the Range they gave you. 250-900. Is the Fico. 8 Bankcard Version score. But if you have been denied so many times. 5 months may be a good idea. As the number of inquiries in the last 6 months seem to be most important to many lenders. I know i just got my citi double cash with 17 inquiries. They did not blink at the number. instant approval. but last year when i applied. i only had 6 inquiries and they said i had too many. The only difference was in the last 6 months this time. I only had 2. last time all 6 were in the last 6 months. So 5 months may be a good thing for your approval op. Just don't apply for anything else until then.
Just be patient, take your mind off it and set a date to app, making sure you dont app for anything in between. Dont worry, you will get it. Your score is great. Just wait a while, garden, by the time you app again score will be better and there wont be any new inq's.

Thank you. My word it is soo hard not to app with these itchy fingers. However I do have preety strong cards so I have no more reasons to app. The reason I applied today and I wouldn't have was because I just made a finance purchase with both my home depot($800) and Wal-Mart ($750) how ever I confirmed that it was not updated in my credit report so it was still showing a $0 balance. And I closed one of my cards a few weeks ago. So my scores are going to take a hit. So while they were at the 700 score line I thought to myself eh why not. Thank you taxi and buddafly for the confidence.
If your fingers get too itchy, get off the forums and focus on something else. While the forums are a great resource they can lead to temptation, also. Good luck. Stick to your guns.
