So the newest account opened should be at least 6 months old? I opened a Home Depot card this year before I app'd for the CSP. That was in May so 6 months will be late November. I guess I will ask for the 3x on Amex next week and then wait until both of those (Blue Sky, BCE) turn a year old in January and I will plan on apping for the CSP at the first of February. That way the new limits will post on the Amex and a few other cards I will be due for by the end of this year. It will also put most of my accounts around 1 year, 4 months old. Surely they won't deny me then.

Would a larger amex limit on one card get me to the csp faster?
A larger CLI makes lower utilization possible (assuming you don't use more of the CL). Lower utilization always helps.
If you're closing out other cards -- which will increase your utilization since your overall CL will drop -- I'd suggest mitigating that by going for the max CLI on one of your AX cards.

Good thinking.....I wasn't even thinking about the ulitization. I'm only going to be closing about 2500.00 worth of cards so all my cli's will be showing on my report by then. My utilization sits at about 11% right now because I had a balance transfer to a 0% card and I just had to purchase a new tv on another card (o% interest). So my ulility will be lower then as well.
