I like how Comenity delivers points on the Total Rewards Visa

I got the Comenity Total Rewards Visa last month and I really like how they deliver points to my Total Rewards account.  Points are rewarded as soon as purchases clear on your card and then the points are uploaded to your Total Rewards account a couple of days afterward.  I spent over $250 on the card in the first week (normal everyday spending, of course) and Comenity delivered the first 5000 point bonus immediately, instead of waiting until the statement cut.

I really like this card.  I highly recommend it for people who want to earn rewards for casino resort vacations.

The bankruptcy rumors are disappointing.  Hopefully, they just stay rumors.  However, as we all know after the recent shenanigans on Wall Street, most bankruptcies don't result in liquidation, so I doubt that if it happened it would affect consumers directly.

We just got back from spending some time in Atlantic City at a Caesars resort and the Total Rewards Visa really helped out.  Like you said, it helped us avoid paying a resort fee, plus I got a free upgrade to Platinum membership with the card which helped us get free early check-in and free parking, plus we got to skip the lines for the buffet.

I really like this card.

You can use reward credits (RC) for comped meals at the buffet or restaurants on site.  You can use them for massages, spa treatments, etc. in the spa.  You can use them in the gift shop.  You can redeem them for show tickets at the Total Rewards booth.  You can also use them to book free rooms if you haven't earned comped rooms through gameplay.  They do offer you the opportunity to exchange RC for free play, but that kind of redemption only earns you $1 in free play for 200 RC (instead of $1 per 100 RC for other uses), and you can't earn tier credits while using it.

Re: I like how Comenity delivers points on the Total Rewards Visa

Here's something else I have discovered about the way points are awarded for the Comenity Total Rewards Visa.  The card rounds up for purchases, no matter how far below a dollar the purchase may be.  For instance, I had a grocery purchase for $54.02, so it rounded it up to 55 points and since it was grocery it counts 2X, so I ended up with 110 points.  I love this card.

I'm tempted to app for this.  I'm on the EC and would love to have this card, espcially with the 2x grocery.  Plus, I love Comenity right now.  The EO responded to my GW letter and reinstated a CL and agreed to remove a late....love being with lenders that work with their customers!!  Plus, it will be awhile till I get to Vegas and AC is the next best thing....thanks for the info.

They seem to be conservative lenders.  I would guess you need at least a 700 to be considered for it.  I apped with my scores and got the mid-tier interest rate (17.9% APR) and they tried to start me off with a $1500 CL.  I called them to recon and they increased it to $2700, but it really surprised me with the limits I have on other cards.
