Exatly, yesterday i went to purchase som of those GoPro Cameras from best buy. the rep asked for the protection and since they are likely to be dropped i thought about it but then i said wait AMEX has protection and the rep mumbled yes they do..

lol as I read this I can just picture in my head the shady Best Buy guy trying to upsell you their $300 extended warranty

$1000 insurance on purchased items that are lost or stolen is cover for just being a cardholder is great perks. Just pay for it with your Amex. Not to mentioned extended warranty on items after 1yr of purchased are also covered. Amex is mostly imitated but never can be duplicated. The backdating alone is priceless.

Those Best Buy employees are soooooo annoying with their warranty sells. They're pushy and their warranties are not helpful. I've used them all of one time. Yet I've bought countless electronics from them. From now on I'll be using my AMEX and just extend the warranty that way.

Its why I make ALL my purchases with a CC.
Two times Ive been screwed I had paid with my Citicard and both times they credited my card the entire amount and then sent their war hounds after the company who ripped me off.
Had I paid by cash or check I'd have been at the mercy of whomever.
