I just wanted to say how grateful I am to this forum. After scouring these forums for the last week and taking my go at some apps I was approved for:

Hooters MC - $1000 CL
Amex Delta - $1000 CL
Amex HH - $2000 CL
Macy's $600 (had to take advantage of the labor day sale)

I was declined for Carnival Sea Miles. Still awaiting all those cards in the mail. Before these I had:

Chase Freedom MC - $300 since 01/07
Cap 1 limited credit MC - $500 since 02/07
Direct Merchants (HSBC) American Dreamcard MC - $800 since 03/07

During my app spree I tried for CLI with Chase - declined for seriously delinquent accounts (student loan CA) and limited history. So what do I do now: should I start canceling my subprimes? None of them have an AF, but I've read about the subprime low CL's hurting your score.

Just stick em in a scokdrawer and use them once every three months or so.

Unless they are costing you $.
The history on the other cards is short.
keep the UTL under 10%.
