This week, I had 3 inquiries drop off from Experian. I only have 3 now. It appears now that the Kohls credit card is now backed by capital 1 and the anecdotal reports are that it is easy to get now. They pull Experian and my score is 660 one year post bk7. I'm shopping for some items for the home and have 20 dollars in Kohls cash that I can stack on top of 30 percent at the register. I'm soo nervous, I've been declined 4 times before when their portfolio was handled by Chase. What do you all think? Is it worth the discount and possible rejection in front of a lot of other customers? It's a busy shopping night tonight. My wife is buying a boatload of stuff. The 30 percent would sure come in handy.
With a 660 and 1 year post BK, my gut would be that they will decline you, even for a store card, but YMMV. All you can do is apply.
