I'm new to here, please advice

Is USAA a good company? I want to apply for a USAA Platinum Visa, any suggestion about this card?

USAA is a great company.  It's more like a Credit Union than a bank because it's ultimately member owned through it's auto insurance cooperative.

Full members who qualify by military service or that of family members do best, and if you qualify it might be worth looking at their insurance as well.

They can be conservative lenders, if you qualify you might also want to look at NFCU.  I use and recommend both.

Thank you.  This is my first credit card, I don't really know about credit card companies. I've been in the US since 2006 and I have only one joint credit credit card with my husband because I couldn't get my own credit card at that time. Now, I want to have my own credit card, so I am jumpping around and trying to do a little research.

USAA asks members for information on their families to make it easier for family members to join.  Since your husband is already a full member you are also a full member.

NFCU's rules are a bit different.  USAA offers membership to anyone who served and received an honorable discharge.  NFCU offers membership to active, reserve, retired and diabled service memebrs - basically the service member needs to join while in the service, or be receiving (or entitled to) a pension for retireent or disability from their service.

Thank you so much!!!  Yes, my husband has been a USAA member a long time ago. I guess,  I will not qualify for NFCU because my husband never a member of NFCU when he was in military. He served for 11 years and resigned.  What is other best credit union company?
