They (someone) has to try to "police" that, someone could easily put up someone else's real cards as a joke or some kind of revenge thing and the mods would have to be sure nothing usable was showing. And that (as many will verify) was a very long thread.
I also think it was a great trigger for many people to develop the "app itch" and I mean severely. Many people here need to avoid that as much as possible anyway, the last thing they need is "credit porn" to kick off an app spree.
