I want a Barclays APPLE CARD! Help!!!

Hi guys,

I want to finance the new iMac, I wanna apply for the APPLE CARD but dont know if I will get approved. My BARCLAY CARNIVAL has current balance of $1191 with CL of 2500. I have my BoA with $0 balance CL of only $500. and $340 balance from my CapOne with CL only $750.

I have new inquiries from Mortgage application. All 3 are from the same Mortgage company. I guess will be seen as 1 inquiry.

My current FICO scores since Oct 24,2012 are EQUIFAX BEACON is 695, TU FICO CLASSIC 703 and EXPERIAN FAIR, ISAAC is 713.

What are my chances of getting approved??

I think the odds are near 0%, but not because of your credit (well, util is high). But I think Barclays still denies apps if you already have a card with them. I also have the SeaMiles and was turned down for the Apple a couple times with the denial reason being that I had credit with them already.

ETA...if in the middle of the mortgage process, don't app for anything.

We already got the house 3 mos ago. But is not showing on my report yet.

I guess dont apply for Barclay then. Which other CC company should I try and get easy approval with my current credit? Second reason I want to get a new acct is to maximize utility.

Probably much better if you can pay down the other Barclays balance first.

They don't like to see outstanding balances with them when you make apps for CLI...I suspect the same is true for new card apps.

I beleive you have a chance. I only had my priceline cc with them for 21 days and applied for the travelocity and was approved with a cl 3x's my priceline limit.

I have 2 Barclays cards, one is the Apple Itunes Visa. I believe my score was around 695 when I was approved for it but have had it for many years.

I would recommend that you check out the amazon card or the best buy card. Both have nice 0 percent offers. If you go for the amazon card; you can try to recon your limit. Personally I would pay off the carnival card before purchasing a new Mac.
