I have 4 AU cards from my parents that were opened in the '80s, and my FAKO is around 790. I have no baddies, and no credit history otherwise. I'd like to apply for cards in my own name. I've read that automated application processing will consider AU cards, but manual processing does not. I'm wondering, if I submit an application online for automatic processing, and it says "pending review" or some such thing, does that mean it will be manually reviewed and I should forget about that card and move on to the next app? Should I avoid calling because that will result in a manual review? And if I'm denied, is it hopeless to call the backdoor number?
Also, are the following all processed automatically? Discover it Miles, Citi Double Cash, Fidelity Amex.
