If you could only have one card... which one?

As the title says... imagine that if tomorrow they passed a law that said you could only keep one card... what would you keep (or get a new one)?

Which one would you keep and why since you asked the question?

My AMEX BCP is the most valuable card to me with the gas and grocery CB. Plus the offers are good.

you know, I don't know... it'd be a tough choice for me...

I wouldn't keep the slate, old useless card with $1500 CL

the other 3 I would have to think hard about:

QS is straight forward and simple... plus $10k limit is my highest by far and not FTFs

DC is nice cause 2% back but they gave me a stingy $3k limit

BoA Cashback is meh... $5k limit, but it is a UofM alumni card so that's fun...

realistically I think I'd keep my Cap1 QS... not sure if the extra 0.5% CB is worth giving up higher limits and simpler everyday rewards

Discover Card.... because of the cashback,  and it and Amex were cards I always wanted to have.

Re: If you could only have one card... which one?

the simplest, highest % cash back with the lowest % apr card I had at that time.

However the dream team of 3 cards today for me would be

Citi DC or Capital One Spark 2% cash back for general spend

Citi HHonors Reserve card for travel related value(no cash back card equals the Value this card gives if 10k spend or more is used per year)

Amex BCP or your favorite 5% cash back categories card if you don't like amex

But I'm crazy so I'm probably going to have a bunch of different cards that I use to maximize savings. I totally understand how people can get caught up chasing rewards, but I am very frugal and I truly only buy things I need at the lowest cost, so basically a 2% cash back card is just adding to the likely 15%-20% off I'm already getting because I refuse to buy things full price, and of course the very true lower risk of using a credit card.

How did you ask the question and then come back with 1 as the answer with thoughts of 3 more ....Lol

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

Probably the Double Cash. It is the best single card to have IMO.

Is it bad that I'm using my discover it card just because it is the hockey playoffs, and I feel the need to represent my pens?

Honestly, probably my BOA wildlife cash rewards. Not the best earning in the world, but I use them for checking, so it's easy to keep track of everything, and goes to a good cause.
