Yeah - I received a $2k CLI from Cap One this week and then was approved for a $15k Venture. I was denied for a Venture in Feb, and had never received CLIs until now.

I had 3 cap one cards, got the Venture for 17.9% and 15k SL, other three cards did nothing (two are now closed due to annual fee coming due) the last QS1 is still sitting at 1.75k and it is my oldest open account nearing 10 years.
Venture One approved for $10,000 @ 16.9%.
Decided to go for Venture immediately after, approved for $10,000 @ 22.9%.
On a roll with the respectable balances lately:
Capital One Venture @ 30k / 17.

What was your apr and starting limit?
I was pre qual for venture . I'm on the fence about apping. I also really want the Amex ED or BCE.
Venture pre qual said apr 17.99 for me. Just trying to see where I may be with my limit.
I was pre-qual'sd as well:
@$20k @ 17.99%

I thought venture one was min 5000 and venture was min 10,000
I got the Venture $5000 at 17.99%. It's now $8K.

Exactly what op need to understand. I will not take long to be at 8k. and not long to be over 10k. it could have been a 3k venture 1. Income and total debt to income plays a role in your limit. Not just your apr and or credit score. So don't compare what you got to others. Each of our situations are different. Just make it grow from this point.
