Improved AMEX Hilton Upgrade offer

Have had the AMEX Hilton no-AF card since April 2015. Put the bonus spend on it, then used it lightly. Even moved $8k of the limit to my Delta card, so the Hilton card is $2k limit now.

Late in 2016, picked up the email offer to spend $1,000 to get a free weekend night, so that certificate is waiting to be used.

Also late in 2016, one of the AMEX Offers on the card was to upgrade to the Surpass for 75k points after $3k in 3 months spend. Tempted but not enough to bite.

Recently they made another AMEX Upgrade Offer, 100k Hilton points after the $3k spend, with an expiration on the offer of May 31. As with other AMEX Upgrade offers, the card account stays the same, they just add the new benefits and AF, no HP.

So I took the offer. Might as well get the same or better bonus as if I closed the HHonors then took a HP for a new Surpass card, without all those steps to take, and without losing the account history.

And without further delaying my wait for the CSR.
