I went to walmart yesterday and applied for a walmart card....and actually got an instant approval for 650.00 CL. I am ecstatic with this and the new Navy Federal gorewards card I am done apping. I have the mix that everyone has spoken about on this board. It is my goal to be in the mid 600's by Christmas. My new found knowledge of utilization and credit mix has propelled me to stage. I am ubber ecstatic. Thanks for all of the real knowledge and practical advice.
Congratulations! I was in the same boat about 6 months ago and now have seen a total of 216 point jump from May of last year ^_^ 504->720! Keep your head up and read these forums as much as you can, they are your credit's savior!
