Agree on the BCP probably being the best all-around card out there right now. Definitely the best if you have a significant grocery bill every week (can't rbeat 6% back). 3% on gas & department stores is great as well. You can do better for gas/dept store purchases but it can be hard to keep track of if you use cards that have rotating 5% categories. The BCP is really convenient in that respect.
@SimonP
Amex BCP currently has the signup bonus...believe it's $100 or $150 and 6-12 months 0% Apr, great to have imo...esp. that 0% apr.....great thing is, alot of ppl can't get their EX Fico and Amex will provide that for you in the mail. Besides a couple CU, Amex is the only other bank that will give you your EX Fico. If there are others...it's news to me

Bank of America gave me an EX FICO in November 2 months after AmEx gave me one in August. That backdated (2002) BCP jumped my EX from 764 to 814!

I am saving money to buy a house next year, so the signup 0% APR does not help me at this stage. But, I got the $150 after $1000 offer from their web site. Now I am just wondering how I can spend $4000 in 3 months!! (Sapphire Preferred requires 3K in 3 mo). I should pay all my utils with these cards, and maybe buy some gift cards. I guess I had to think about it before apping for the cards, right?
I already pulled the trigger 3 times on reports last night and this morning, so their report does not help me either. I already paid $65 and got all my scores, two from myFico and one from Experian (3 for $30 offer). But again, no worries since I got the Amex.

One thing I will ask is where did you get your EX score? No one has been able to buy their own Experian FICO score since February of 2009. Creditors can pull Experian and also there is a CU (PSECU) in Pennsylvania that supplies that information to it's members only.
From a BK years ago to:
EX - 3/11 pulled by lender- 835, EQ - 2/11-816, TU - 2/11-782

I paid for it in Experian web site. Then based on your reaction, I guess that is a FAKO. So, my real scores might be around 760.

Unfortunately it is a FAKO. The scores from EX are called "PLUS" scores and are not used by any lenders.

Thanks for clarifications. So, I guess I get my latest FICO from Amex for free.
