Is Amex CLI HP?

I just request for CLI for my Amex BCE over the automated phone system . It was approved instantly and my credit line was increased from 1k to 3k.

Does anyone know if it is a hard pull or soft pull?

I got 5 cards in 4 months (Amex BCE 1k; HSBC Bestbuy 1.8k; Target REDcard 500; Fidelity Amex 5k; Chase Freedom 6k). I guess I should start gardening for a while...
