Hi all,
I was wondering if BofA was generous with CLI and how often they review my account for that? Or how often I should request a CLI. I paid off $3k of my debt so just waiting for all of that to hit so my CS goes up and then was going to try with BofA and Barclay.
They've been great with me. But they always HP when you request a CLI.
I went from $900 to $2800 to $6100. Each cli request was a year apart.
I had a decent number of create cards and HPs on my profile and also had some new accounts each time. If you have no baddies and can take the HP, I'd recommend going for it. They have a link on their website to request a CLI.
Got the card in Feb. starting at $2,000 went to $5,000 in Aug. then to $9,000 in Oct. both were hard pulls.
They have been generous to me as well. For awhile I was applying for CLI or new card every 6 months and for CLI they usually doubled my limit. I usually requested 3-4x my current limit and they will counter offer. Each CLI has been hard pull on TU.
i would wait for an auto CLI. I got one on 10/31 after I paid my balance in full. later that evening i checked my accounts and saw i got an auto CLI from 1K to 3K. i have had the CC for a year and a half. well worth the wait!
I started with $1100 and after 6 months asked for a $5000 was approved with HP.

also they use the same hp for 30 days so any BOFA/FIA card you have will be able to use that hp
Alaska or Virgin Airlines cards can be quite valuable
