I have the Double Cash from then let me tell you Citi is the only bank out all mayor ones I have that had made me raise my voice in the middle of the mall its crazy I hate then.pain in the ass this bank.& Capital One treats me like king
Cap 1? They take 3 HPS and don't even have a good card lineup. Citi I got 3 card with them and never had an issue with them. Double cash > QuickSilver.
@coldnmn wrote:No love for Citi here. They denied me for a card four years ago so I have been shredding everything since. I finally fell for the Citi DC. They did two HPs 1 each EX and EQ the only inquiries I had was two on TU nothing on the other two. I got a wopping $1500 CL. The only bright side is they quit sending me garbage every week. It's a $5-$30 monthly spend until my Discover DC is done. They say US Bank is conservative not to me. My suggestion move on and don't look back.
I am pretty sure they tripled pulled me but not 100% on that. Got pulled on my EX and EQ for sure but I sort of remember seeing an alert from cap one or something about a pull on my tu . Only got $2,500 so I took another pull (EQ) and now only $3,700.
I also also applied for the US bank card and they didn't even bother pulling a report lol. Looked at my social and said I opened up to many accounts or whatever they said
@kdm31091 wrote:I agree some banks just do not like us. Citi pestered me with the Diamond prequal almost every single week in the mail. I scoured the Internet looking for even one real advantage of the card and came up with nothing; the Easy Deals are unanimously panned as being useless and the 0% period is something you can get with a Double Cash which is more useful down the line, albeit they are stingy with CLs on it.
So I did go for the DC and got a whopping $2.5k when most of my other cards are 5k plus. Bit ridiculous but it's just how they are with me. Last year, when I had a DC it was 1k and I closed it almost immediately out of sheer frustration. I mean, if Citi is gonna market a general spend card they need to make it useful for general spend! It will serve its purpose for me for the 0% I wanted but beyond that, if it doesn't grow well I will just revert to my QS which I am definitely keeping open for backup.
Eh citi deals is ok if you don't set your expectations high. I usually use my points to get discounts at this ma and pop coffee store where I buy coffee there anyways

That sucks. Was there a specific apr?
Yes, but I tossed the stupid offer. I believe it was an outrageous number like 22.9%.
