Is Diner's Club going to accept US applications?

I thought I read somewhere that Diner's Club will begin accepting applications for new U.S. cardholders again, maybe later this year, but I can't find it now.  Anyone hear about this?

I heard it last year and I haven't heard anything lately. I still have the card and their card portfolio is taken by Citi.
