soft pull only? if this is true ill try for one and if it is a HP it wont go thru
kohls is cap1 and i have gotten a CLI of $200 about 6 months ago. but my limit is is $500 and it is a SP
I just called as an experiment and they told me I was at my max right now. A whopping $300 that's it's been at since 11/2008. It's a soft pull, but the CSR offered to "run it so that I could get a letter in the mail indicating why my request was denied." I politely declined the HP. Too bad for them, I have a baby on the way and they have lots of baby clothes shopping to do.
I've had my Kohls card with a 300CL since Jan 09. I think I've called twice over the years and was told no, then that they weren't doing customer requested CLI's (when it was still handled by Chase). I haven't called since they switched to Cap 1. I'm half tempted to call after reading this thread but no way would I risk a HP for Kohls, esp the way Cap 1 does them LOL.
Kohls started me off at $900 when my credit score was 150 points lower than it currently is. Ive never called for a cli, but now you got me curious. . .
Kohls wants you to spend money. They need the customers. I rarely shop there and do have a Kohls charge with a 500 limit for 2.5 years, but I'm not dying to shop there. To me, it's so-so. Prices could be better, merchandise could be better quality. Oh well, the less I shop there, the more coupons they send me. Which I give away or sometimes use.
