Is it normal to feel bad after a app spree?

I just got done with an unplanned app spree.

Wal-Mart (discover) --- 1800

Macy --- (don't know CL)

Lowe's --- 2000

Target --- 500

Sear's ---- 2000

(in that order)

I was riging a high while I was app'ing but now I feel bad ... like remorse.

I really was going to app but I decided to go for the Wal-mart. After that, I was just on a roll.

I'm happy I was 5 for 5 but I hope It doesn't hurt me in the long run.

It can be normal, anything done impulsively that one has second thoughts about qualifies certainly.

Long run (call it 3+ years) it won't much matter at all especially if you get use out of the cards; shorter-term <1 year it likely will, and the 1-3 year mid-term YMMV.  May even be a benefit in some things but that is highly dependant as to the rest of your credit report.

I feel bad after each HP. Especially in cases where they weren't expected like when asking for a CLI or annoying someone at Sallie-Mae, LOL!

Yes, I'd say that's totally normal. Especially if it's on an impulse, then when it's over you sit back and realize it probably wasn't worth all the pulls. From my experience, I have much less "app remorse" when I plan the applications out, and know for sure these are the cards I want. Even still, sometimes you don't get approved for a great amount, then it feels a little wasted as well.

I just recently requested CLI's for my Freedom and More cards...both were granted with HP's, but only for $500. I had some serious remorse after that, but my new approvals followed by a massibe CLI on my BoA card and another on my Barclay's lessened the blow.

Re: Is it normal to feel bad after a app spree?

Thanks for repling ...

I app'ed after I called Discover to see about a CLI. I have a CL of $1000 now. They wanted to do a hard pull so I said that's ok and hung up. I guess I wasn't satifed so I wanted to app for 1 card - wal-mart. then it just went from there ...

BTW Macy CLI is $500

Re: Is it normal to feel bad after a app spree?

You can call the Macys automated system at 877-493-9207 and find out your credit line. Push the option for balance (I think it's 1) and when she asks for your account number say I don't know. She'll ask for your social, look up your account, and read your balance and available credit.

edit: oops, saw you post the line as I posted..
