To get the extra 25k PRG sign on points if you missed the 50k offer ? Say you got a card last month with 25k sign up and then a month later Amex offers the 50k for the same card . Has it been done before ?
But seriously doubtful.. Amex is the absolute worst about upgrading signup bonuses. You get what you signed up for

It doesn't hurt to send an SM, asking if you could be enrolled in the 50k offer that just came out. Sometimes, they say yes. Sometimes, they don't and you try again the next day.
