Is the Shopping Cart Trick always a SP after you Accept?

Hi everyone,

Just received the pop up preapproval for Victoria's Secret and accepted.  I saw that they soft pulled me back a few weeks ago, so when i signed on the preapproval was there.  Will this be a sp or hp since I accepted?

Yeah, that's what I was reading on here but wanted to make sure because I really do not need anymore Hard pull inquiries this year..lol!    And Thanks for the congrats!

VS never pre-soft pulled me; instead, when I got the pop-up is when they softed pulled my CR -- in that instant. So it sounds like you registered on their site before the SP???

VS is SP for the shopping card trick.  That's why people like the shopping card trick so much.  Congrats on new TL!

Yes, I've been registered on their site for years.  Never received a pre-approval pop up until today.  I pull my credit reports at least once a month and just this morning I noticed they sp'd me on Equifax..so I thought hmmm wonder why?? So I logged in and BAM, the pre-approval pop up saying I was preapproved for $500.  I had to enter the last four of my social security, dob and that was it.

Thank you!!    I am in major pay off balance mode to get my utl down so I can get some CLI's in Jan/Feb, so I will use it very lightly if at all for now.

There are some cards that are HPs when accepted. Total rewards is one I can think of.
