Is there a minimum score for the shopping cart trick?

Credit Bureau profile and internal scoring depending on the Comenity card program.  Your score is only one of many factors considered for elegibility.  Taking the shopping cart for a stroll in it of itself isn't going to do it for many.

Mine is in the 670 range and I JUST got VS to pop. I have seen far lower get them. The only change is I paid off a lot of stuff, and got two baddies to report as paid on EX.

I cannot get JCrew or Pottery Barn to do anything. Could not get The Limited either.

I've tried a few times in the last month and nothing... tell my sister about it and bam! She has lower scores than I do.

I got VS, Express and One Stop Plus a couple months ago and my score was right at or under 550.  Opt-in and just keep trying is about all you can do.

Specifically some programs are inquiry sensitive, so where one place may accept you with a certain score, another may see too many inquiries and not accept you, with the same score. Others are more baddie sensitive and even others more utilization sensitive. I'm sure there are other criteria as well, as each program is more sensitive to different things that won't be the same with another program. I've learned all this from the helpful folks on this board =)

Took me 7 months of trying.  September was the month for me.  Woman Within, Avenue, LinenSource all within a few days of each other.  Still nothing for Victorias Secret.  Maybe they know I need to lose a few lbs before I be buying VS items

Did it for DW.  I just started working on her file.  She was 605 with 3 un paid collections no current cc's open.  VS popped up pre-approved for $500 after putting a few items in the cart then checking out as guest and filling in all personal data at checkout.  I think the criteria is pretty low provided you have some history in your credit file.

Shopping cart trick is a SP, so no one, but they are reporting to all 3.

If you look at my sig you will see all my comenity cards I have acquired this year. Everything past hsn was within the past two weeks. They are softing my EQ. I have 5 charge offs from 5 years ago on there negative. Appr 10 inq . 2 car loans never late 3 capital ones never late. Fingerhut never late. I can not get them to give me an increase but they are offering me more cards at higher limits. I called to complain this week and they upgraded some of my cards that I have had for 9 months.
