Is there a perfect cc mix?

I've been reading some old posts and I learned that more-often-than-not you need to have at least six credit cards to ever be eligible to achieve an 830 above FICO score?

Is there an ideal mix of cards to also help individuals on this endeavor? (e.g. one Amex, one Visa, one MC, one Discover, and 2 store cards or some other variation)

Hello,

From what i have read on these forums, most tend to agree that a mixture of cards is a good thing.  I personnally utilize:

1. AMEX Blue Cash

2. Discover More

3. NFCU Plat Visa

4. NFCU Plat MC

5. Chevron/Texaco Gas card

6.  I have another 6 cards ranging from Visa, MC and store cards that just sit in the drawer but the 5 above are always availabe in my wallet for use.
