Is there any deadline by which I should activate a new card?

I just noticed my Arrival card had a new look yesterday so I called them and requested a new card with the new design. I was told it took 7-10 bus days for this to arrive. However, I will travel oversea within one week and don't think they can make it arrive before I leave. I will stay abroad for 6 weeks. Is it okay if the new card is not activated for 7 weeks (= 6 weeks away + one week mailing)? Is there any deadline by which I should activate a new card? Thank you.

I just went through this with my Barclay Sallie Mae. My card arrived a couple of days after I left, I was gone for 5 weeks.

There was no problem with activation once I returned, you should be fine.
