I filed BK& 3 years ago and included my Amex card in the BK.
I received a pre approval for a new Platinum card from Amex
Whats going on? Is this legit

I'm sure it is but since you included an Amex account in your BK I wouldn't waste an application and inquiry on this.
From a BK years ago to:
EX - 9/09 pulled by lender 802
EQ - 7/06-663, 3/10-800
TU - 8/10-772
You can do the same thing with hard work

They are trying to lure you in to pay back BK amount.
+1
The nice thing about Amex is if you apply, the application first gets verified internally that your not blacklisted before they pull credit, so every year I apply just to see if they have lost my info yet! if they are pre-approving, I would apply and see if your still blocked

Recovering your defaulted amount, $495 at a time.
Just an FYI, since you included them in your BK, then they cannot collect on the money that you included. You could apply and see what happens. For instance, I applied for 3 AMEX cards and got the same response for each one. They didn't pull my credit, and it said they could not approve me because their systems show that AMEX had closed one of my previous accounts (the 1 that I included in a BK). There was nothing reporting on my credit report either. So, it may be worth a shot. Hey I would take the $495 fee to get my foot back in the door with them because then I would get that nice long history back and my AAoA would definitely go up since that was my longest card.
