I saw in a Wired article that isis mobile walet is to be tested in Austin and Salt Lake City
http://www.wired.com/gadgetlab/2012/10/isis-sets-oct-22-launch-date/
Sounds like we maybe carrying around less cartds in our wallet one day
oh I should say I work for one of the 3 mobile companies however on a very low level and not involved on this project but do find it to be a cool idea

Doresn't it use the same technology as far as the store readers go as Visa PayPass ?
your phone must have a NFC in it most androids have them now and no iphones have them at all. they should have put it in the iphone 5. my phone has NFC but no e-wallet yet. i am hoping ISIS takes off at some point
Verizon was hyping Isis heavily at a recent street fair here in Austin.
They said they are working on an iPhone case that will add the necessary functionality to iPhones.
I wonder who will prevail in the end. Google Wallet or Isis?

its though to say ISIS has tmobile, verizon, and sprint? behind it as well as amex and chase and cap1. google looks to be releasing a new wallet soon very soon and for iOS they also take more cards inway so we will see.
I have Google Wallet on my phone and tablet. It's fun to use it and see that odd look on the cashier's face. They were amazed when I tap my Nexus 7 to the terminal.
I won't be using it though because it offers no protection. You void your right to dispute the transaction with the card issuer and you only earn the minimum % of your rewards program.
