I had a pretty bad itch for the new USAA card, LOL! I've wanted an account with them for years. Sad to say, I even called to make sure their policy had changed about accounts in New York. 
Didn't app. Utilization is over 40% and I didn't want to waste an inquiry. Waiting to see what Chase does when my Freedom hits 1 year old in two weeks. If they upgrade to signature, all is forgiven. If not, I'll close/replace them in Jan when util is much lower.
