I posted about this a while ago and I think it's a good trade off. Right now, you get $10 for every $100 spent, but you only earn rewards at $100 spend increments, not including tax. So if you spent $99 one month, you get nothing. Changing it so it's 5% and able to carry over is better for those of us who don't spend there in $100 increments.
