Re: JCP CC Upgrade

Thanks LadyRover for showing me a pic of the flyer. The cards look exactly like the store ones but feature the old style hologram above the MasterCard logo design. The cards look pretty dated but makes em more useful. Congrats!

I didn't even know they had a Mastercard.

I said the same thing. But I'm very happy. It is 1% Cash back, not the best but is better then nothing.

I got the upgrade letter Saturday, but it's not cash back, just JCP rewards. I think I would like cashback more. But I am excited, I was planning to phase out my store cards over the next year or so anyway, as I want the flexibility to use them everywhere. Now if Target would hurry up with their mastercard version so I can apply, I would be in heaven.

I was reading on an older thread that the coupons they send often stated "not for use with the mastercard version" but people could opt to keep the store version open along with the mastercard so they could use the coupons with the card. I wonder if that would be the case now?

Current Debt Management:
$15k Trinity Financial Management (scheduled pay off late 2021)
$10k NFCU
$350/mth Bridgecrest Auto Loan
Goals: Pay off credit card debt & buy a new home before end of 2020

Long Term Debt:
Fed Loans - $150k
Navient - $100k

Taking a "if God don't do it, it won't get done..." approach to paying these off.

Re: JCP CC Upgrade

Like you all I also received this offer in the mail. Our new cards will arrive in Aug.I have had my card about 2yrs now had a starting Iimit of 500.00 then got inc. to 800 aft 3rd statement, then they'd give me 500 inc. about every 3-6 mths until about a yr ago. I started hitting the luv button every 3 mths myself and noticed I got higher increases,Now my limit is up to 5000.00. I used to wonder why b/c I'd never use that much on a JCP card now it makes more sense to have.Currrently I am a Gold member and from what I understand we will will keep whatever status we have and our new card will represent the colors like now with the exception adding the MC logo. Supposedly we will get 1 MC Reward /dollar until reaching or exceeding  1000pts then we'll receive a 10.00 MC Reward certificate in the next billing statement with no more than 3 certificates issued and mailed in one mth. Also they say these cert. are in add. to any we earn under the rewards program for the store and online, I'll be curious to see how this plays out

T&C  states at times there may be available special promo financing offers of  6,12,18,or 24 mths @ 0%. Seems like they have 2 flavors of these

Bet I missed something...lolSmiley Happy

Good Luck to all
