Just read through my latest JCP statement and saw this:
So the points remain the same (1 point per $1), but now it'll take 200 points to get a $10 reward instead of 100. However, points will start to roll over, whereas it used to be an all-or-nothing thing. Personally, I'm perfectly happy with this trade-off, since I'm more likely to spend less than $100 at JCP in a given month. What do you think?

I agree with you. The trade off is well worth it!
Looks better, I agree. Do not shop there, but 5% and accumulate is nice. Do they only have store card?

There's a JCP MC version but it's by invite only - cannot be applied for directly. TBH, I haven't seen any MC upgrades in a very long time. Select few have the JCP MC though.

After CVS announced they would quit accepting the JCP card for payment, there was an influx of JCP MC upgrade offers. I haven't seen any posted since that time.

Youre right SRE...
I havent seen anymore since then! I think I will like this rewards change much better! I shop at the Sephora inside JCP, and use my JCP card there, and if youre a Sephora rewards cards holder, JCP will send you monthly coupons for free samples. Just be sure when you go to check out that you give them your Sephora rewards # first!

+1
5% rewards is very attractive for a frequent shopper... Lowe's and Amazon store accounts are both 5% cash rewards as well, I wonder if any of the other Synchrony cards will be changing?
I wish Belk would... the rewards from that account are rather sad (2.5%) - I actually earn more shopping there using my BCP.
Edit: typo
I like the 5 percent, but I already get that from using my Discover which also has the rewards attatched to it. I think I'm going to miss the 10 bucks every 100 points. While I don't really feel like I shop there often, I have been a platinum for at least three years and I feel like I get those 10 dollar rewards every other week. I treat them like cash so I don't usually let them expire. I get sheets, towels and undies there fairly regularly.

I'd had too many months come in under 100 points to miss it.
